New Title

Fascia-based bodywork (including the use of the Block Therapy block) can be deeply restorative, supportive, and empowering — but it isn’t the right fit for everyone. I want to make sure you feel safe, informed, and well cared for during your session.

✅ You may be a great fit if you:

  • Want a clothed alternative to traditional massage
  • Are open to guided breathwork and staying in positions for several minutes
  • Are looking for long-term postural, pain, or stress relief
  • Are comfortable exploring sensation (from gentle to strong) as fascia unwinds

⚠️ Fascia sessions may not be appropriate if you:

  • Are pregnant (sessions available only after delivery with health care provider clearance and doctors note on file).
  • Are under 18 years old, fascia sessions are not available
  • Have recent fractures, dislocations, or surgery within 6 weeks.
  • Have surgical mesh, spinal rods, prosthetic joints, or implants in the area being treated — the block is never applied directly over these.
  • Have active infections or fever (cellulitis, flu, COVID, etc.).
  • Are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation (sessions available only after treatment with provider clearance).
  • Have uncontrolled high blood pressure, severe heart disease, or pacemaker/stent/shunt without provider clearance.
  • Are on blood thinners, steroids, cortisone, or other medications that impact healing without provider clearance.
  • Have serious neurological conditions with numbness, loss of sensation, or progressive weakness.
  • Are in an active autoimmune flare (lupus, RA, MS, etc.).

What to Expect

  • Fascia work may cause healing responses as adhesions release and tissues shift into better alignment. These are temporary but can feel surprising:
  • Tingling, numbness, or waves of sensation
  • Emotional release (crying, sadness, or even laughter)
  • Digestive or sinus clearing (mucus, bowel changes, etc.)
  • Old pain or memories surfacing briefly before easing

These are signs that your fascia is changing. If anything feels too intense, we adjust — you are always in control of your comfort level.

Special Considerations — Mesh or Surgical Repairs
Clients with mesh (hernia repairs, surgical mesh, etc.) may be able to safely practice fascia work. However, direct pressure over the area may need to be avoided or modified, depending on sensitivity. We will always work with your breath as a guide and may start with surrounding areas before progressing closer. Please let me know about any surgical mesh or repairs during your intake so we can adapt your session safely.
